Halifax House Price Index
The Halifax House Price Index includes national commentary and analysis, regional summaries, a house price calculator that can be used to show the value of a house in any quarter back to 1983, a spreadsheet with historical data back to 1983, and an explanation of the methodology used to calculate the index since its creation in 1984.
Housing market and house prices
Data provided by Communities and Local Government and the Council of Mortgage Lenders showing average house prices, house price indices and house price inflation figures across the UK. Other statistics include property transaction and interest rate trends and land prices.
Investment Property Databank (IPD)
Comprehensive housing statistics from the IPD, a global real estate information company, which provides real estate research and analysis reports as well as market indices for a number of countries.
Land Registry House Price Index
This monthly House Price Index, published by Land Registry, succeeded the quarterly Residential Property Price Reports in 2007. Figures, going back to 1995, are given at national, regional, county and London borough level based on repeat sales.
LSL Property Services/Acadametrics House Price Index
Monthly figures with regional comparisons, historical data and interactive charts. This index is used by the Financial Times UK house prices.
Nationwide House Price Index
The Nationwide House Price Index includes monthly and quarterly figures, accessible through its press releases, plus historical data. The site also includes an explanation of the methodology used in calculating the index.
