The ICAEW Healthcare Community have a new Chair.
Northern Society member Claire Hebdige, who is a Chartered Tax Adviser and NHS Pensions specialist at Dodd & Co Chartered Accountants was appointed to take over the role at the end of 2016.
Claire, who lives just outside Penrith with her three year old son Lewis, has been with Dodd & Co for 10 years and working within their healthcare team for eight years. In her spare time Claire is a keen triathlete.
The ICAEW Healthcare Community currently has over 700 members from all over England and Wales. Its main purpose is to train, educate and share technical knowledge with its members who all have expertise in the tax and accountancy requirements for the healthcare sector. They meet quarterly at the Institute’s Moorgate Place offices in London.
In her new role Claire is responsible for organising the community’s annual conference, deciding topics and agendas, organising training sessions including webinars and writing industry-specific articles for the group’s newsletters and website. The community has strong links with NHS Pensions and are currently looking at extending links to others such as BMA and Reform.
