Other ways of giving

For information about giving shares, corporate gifts or legacy bequests please contact the Foundation directly.

The Institute is covering all fundraising costs, which means that all of your gift will go directly towards the Foundation's objectives.

Gift Aid

Using Gift Aid means that the Foundation can claim back the tax you have already paid on your gift, making it worth an extra 28 per cent at no further cost to you. For example if you give £10,000, the Foundation receives a total of £12,800.

Higher rate tax payers can claim further personal tax relief on the gross value of their gift, at the higher marginal rate.

To qualify for Gift Aid you must pay income tax or capital gains tax equal to the amount the Foundation claims in the tax year.

Fundraising campaign

To begin with, the money will be raised by pursuing a carefully targeted strategy to secure a relatively small number of big gifts in a volunteer-led campaign. A programme of person-to-person asking is rolling out to a wider audience of individual benefactors, firms, and grant-making trusts.

ICAEW council, board and active volunteers are involved in this campaign, as well as international members and district societies.
