The region represents almost 6,000 chartered accountants working at the heart of business in the professional services, manufacturing and industry. Our aim is to raise the profile of the ICAEW and demonstrate that our members are inspiring confidence at the heart of British industry.
- About us
-
The region offers a wide range of activities to meet the interests of our members in business and practice.
The work of representing our members’ interests in the East Midlands is undertaken by our Regional Strategy Board and by two district societies, the Nottingham, Derby & Lincoln society and the Leicestershire & Northamptonshire society.
In demonstrating the crucial role chartered accountants have in creating prosperity across the region, we work closely with the East Midlands regional development agency and with the newly-emerging Local Enterprise Partnerships. We are also working with a range of other organisations including the Institute of Directors, Government offices and the Bank of England, to ensure the concerns of members in the region are heard by decision-makers at every level.

The role of the East Midlands Regional Strategy Board (RSB) is to identify key business issues affecting members locally and to develop a programme of activity to address those issues which enhances the reputation and influence of the ICAEW and its members across the region and advances public debate.
Working with the District Society Office Holders and Regional Director, the board meets three times a year in March, July and November to review overall activity in the East Midlands, to consider regional input into Institute initiatives and to contribute to specific ongoing projects.
