The region represents over 7600 chartered accountants working at the heart of business in the professional services, manufacturing and industry. Our aim is to raise the profile of the ICAEW and demonstrate that our members are inspiring confidence at the heart of South West economy.

The region offers a wide range of activities to meet the interests of our members in business and practice.
The work of representing our members’ interests in the South West is undertaken by our Regional Strategy Board and by two district societies, the West of England society and the South West society.
In demonstrating the crucial role chartered accountants have in creating prosperity across the region, we work closely with the regional development agency, South West RDA, and with the newly-emerging Local Enterprise Partnerships. We are also working with a range of other organisations including South West Business Forum, the Institute of Directors, Government offices and the Bank of England, to ensure the concerns of members in the region are heard by decision-makers at every level.
