The region represents 8000 chartered accountants working in every sector of the economy: large or small practice, major companies and public organisations or the SMEs so vital to the region’s prosperity. Our aim is to raise the profile of ICAEW and show that our members inspire confidence when and wherever people do business.

The region offers a wide range of activities to meet the interests of all our members.
Many of our services are delivered through our three District Societies: Humberside, Sheffield (one of ICAEW’s four founding societies) and West Yorkshire.
The Regional team organises the programme of events and courses in the region, promotes the ICAEW and its members in the local economy by working with key regional stakeholders, and supports the work of the District Society Committees. The Regional Strategy Board works with the regional development agency Yorkshire Forward and with the newly-emerging Local Enterprise Partnerships, and with a range of other organisations including Business Link Yorkshire, Government Office and the Bank of England, to ensure the concerns of members in the region are heard by decision-makers at every level.
