ICAEW is working to address the capacity gaps in the public sector through a number of international development initiatives

In most developing countries the public sector is at a disadvantage to the private sector in the recruitment of accountants. From our many conversations with public sector bodies, an overwhelming number indicate the need for enhanced training and certification of accountants to make up for the shortfalls in capacity.
