Tax Planning for the Family Business

Part of the North West London Area Society programme. These meetings are structured lectures by well known speakers to help chartered accountants to keep up to date and to meet other chartered accountants.

This session will round up and review all tax planning issues relevant to smaller family businesses and their owners.  It will cover corporation tax, extraction of funds and the impact of income tax and NIC. Tax efficient benefits in kind will be highlighted and any capital gains tax planning relevant to the disposal of the business.

Speakers

  • Rebecca Benneyworth BSC FCA

    Rebecca is a lecturer, writer and consultant on a variety of taxes. She lectures extensively throughout the UK, to accountants, business people and also to HMRC and the Treasury.

    She writes for a wide range of publications including Taxation magazine, Tolleys Practical Tax and AccountingWEB. She is General Editor of Tolleys Taxwise, Consultant Editor on Tolleys Income Tax 2011-12 and has recently been appointed Editor of Tax Adviser magazine.

    She  has a small accountancy practice based in Gloucestershire, with a variety of small business clients. Rebecca is also Deputy Chair of the Tax Faculty of the ICAEW, and was named Best Tax Lecturer at the Lexis Nexis Taxation Awards in 2007.
