Come along to the next LSCA Canary Wharf Members’ Group event and find out how to manage poor performance within the work place. Find out ‘why staff do not always do what you want them to do’.
Why you should attend
Managing performance isn’t always easy, especially poor performance.
For accountants though, it’s a critical skill as so much of what they do is with and through other people.
This session will identify the three underlying reasons why staff underperform in the first place and then suggest a strategy to deal with each. Simply sending poor performers on a training course may be an easy option but is often simply a diversion from tackling other issues. The session will also look at a few practical tips to make ‘having that difficult conversation’ a little easier and more productive for all concerned

Angus Farr
Angus Farr is Director of Training Counts and one of those rare breeds – both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered HR professional!
His main focus is on helping ‘technical’ professionals such as accountants develop ‘non-technical’ business, management and communication skills. Programmes range from commercial simulations to negotiation skills and from diversity training to pitch presentation workshops.
Angus has coached individuals and delivered training to audiences of over 100, both in the UK and internationally and he hopes all this has been adequate preparation for this evening’s session for the Canary Wharf Group!
