The Accounting Standards Board (ASB) has issued its latest plans for the radical reshaping of UK GAAP. This Financial Reporting Faculty webinar will provide a clear, concise introduction to the key proposals.
Why you should attend
In January the Accounting Standards Board launched the latest stage in its long-running consultation on the future of UK GAAP. These radical proposals entail the replacement of current UK GAAP in its entirety with a new regime. At its core this envisages a comprehensive new standard based around the IFRS for SMEs. The new standard would apply to all UK companies (and other UK entities preparing accounts intended to show a true and fair view) except those required or opting to report under EU-adopted IFRS and small entities reporting under the FRSSE. The new framework also contains a set of disclosure exemptions for qualifying entities.
This webinar provides an overview of the ASB’s latest thinking. It would be of benefit to anyone in need of a clear, concise introduction to these proposals. Following the presentations participants will have an opportunity to put their questions to the presenters.
