Change is coming for accounting standards in the UK. The current UK GAAP is set to be swept away and replaced with a new regime based around the IFRS for SMEs. While it is envisaged that FRSSE would remain for now, these radical changes could ultimately affect virtually all companies in the UK.
Why you should attend
Participants may be familiar with the ASB’s project to replace UK GAAP, but the final exposure draft, due to be issued in January 2012, differs from the 2011 proposals in some key respects.
Come along on 13 March to learn about:
- The scope of the new standard – which entities are in and which out.
- Areas where the new UK standard now deviates from the IFRS for SMEs.
- What the implications of the changes might be in practice.
