Francesca Lagerberg FCA, CTA (Fellow)
Francesca Lagerberg is Head of Tax at Grant Thornton UK LLP and is responsible for its tax practice of over 900 people. She specialises in topical tax issues, tax policy and private client matters. She also leads the firm's National Tax Office that covers technical tax issues of all kinds, knowledge management, training, national tax marketing and risk management.
Francesca is one of the tax advisers who was invited by the Government to join its Tax Professional Forum and regularly provides input to Treasury, MPs, HMRC committees and on tax consultations.
She is a commentator in the national and professional press, appearing on TV and radio on tax issues and writing regular columns for publications such as Private Client Practitioner and Accountancy. For over a decade she has edited the annual book, TAXline Tax Planning. She also lectures around the UK and in 2008 won the Lexis Nexis Tax Lecturer of the Year award.
Francesca is a former Chairman of the Tax Faculty of the ICAEW and sits on its Technical Committee. She is also on the Council of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
