In the July edition:

Welcome to the July issue of Vital, in which we celebrate the success of our high-achieving prize winning students from around the world.

In this issue, hear from the latest crop of this year’s prizewinners, as they share their secrets to exam success, advice, and their career ambitions. There is an international feel to this issue as we look at the benefits of overseas work placements and how this can enhance you and your career. In the Work section we also explore ways to avoid a culture clash and hear from those who have managed to do so.

This issue also features inspirational stories as we hear from Nicki Deeson, currently International Financial Director of Amnesty International. She talks to Vital about how the ACA helped her when volunteering in Bangladesh, where she set up an internal audit and new accounting system. We also hear from Craig Williams on how the ACA allowed him to keep his options open. Craig has scaled the heights of the entertainment industry, travelled the world and managed musicians.

We love hearing from you, so please get in touch if you have any comments or thoughts using vital@icaew.com or tweet us using #VitalMag.
