ICAEW Vic/Tas Network

The ICAEW Members in Victoria member group was launched in May 2004, to provide support and focus for members based in Victoria.

About us

The aims of the member group are to:

  • Represent the views of Australian members to ICAEW, other stakeholders and relevant bodies;
  • Represent ICAEW and Australian members in the local business and wider community of Victoria and Tasmania;
  • Reflect and support the aims, objectives and strategies of ICAEW;
  • Organise and promote activities to achieve these objectives; and
  • Facilitate networking amongst members.

The committee builds links with members of other overseas chartered accounting institutes who live in Australia. We also encourage participation with Australian members of the other British institutes.

The executive committee of the ICAEW Vic/Tas Network includes members from a range of backgrounds, experience and length of time in Australia.

Events Subcommittee

The Events Subcommittee arranges social and educational events and activities that allow members and their guests to meet and develop their skills and networks in an informal atmosphere. These events provide an opportunity to connect with the local business community. They also support ICAEW members settling into the state.

Social events include new member initiatives, alumni events and social and networking activities.

Educational events include speakers on subjects of interest to members, technical seminars with a UK emphasis, and access to the educational programmes of local providers.

Get in touch with any suggestions for events in your area, or if you have any interest in joining the committee.

Join the ICAEW Vic/Tas Network Committee

New committee members are always welcome. Whether you are new to Australia or a long-term resident, working in practice, commerce, or other areas, we would value your participation.

It’s a great way to build or expand your local network, to get involved in technical and social activities, and to contribute to raising the profile of ICAEW and members in Australia.

Members interested in joining the committee should contact the Chairperson.
