Business confidence in Scotland

Q3 2017: Confidence dips amid poor economic indicators and ongoing political uncertainties.

Confidence in Scotland has fallen back to -4.9, but remains above the score of -16.4 seen in Q3 2016. The Scottish Q3 score is however a reflection of the uncertainties surrounding Brexit negotiations, the recent poor statistics on trade and industrial production and the absence of a clear result from the snap General Election which have all served to depress business confidence.
