Part of the Finance and grants section of the Business Link website, this page provides access to a comprehensive overview of options available to businesses looking for grants and government support.

Access Funds
Grants information for the British charitable and non-profit sector (subscription required). This site aims to provide the latest funding information from central government, National Lottery, charitable trusts and the EU. Subscription includes email alerts, training courses, directories of funding programmes and guides to funding.

Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF)
'The leading membership association for trusts and foundations in the UK'. The website provides information about the organisation and its membership, advice on applying for funding, and information on policy, legislation and regulation affecting charitable grant-makers. Also includes a list of ACF member trusts and foundations, with links to their websites and summary descriptions of their activities.

Fundraising UK
The 'UK's leading internet fundraising consultancy helps charities in the UK and internationally to use the Internet as a fundraising tool to enhance and extend their existing fundraising activities'. The site includes a news service, forums, blogs, a selection of books on fundraising, a directory of suppliers for your fundraising activities and expert advice.

Grantfinder UK
The Grantfinder database was established in 1985, and is designed to advise and guide business professionals on grant aid processes from the location of funding through to completing an application. The database is searchable using criteria of location, industrial sector, purpose of grant, project cost and size of company - with a wizard search option to facilitate ease of use. Subscription service.

GrantSearch
Database of UK grants including 2,500 grants indexed by category. Edited sample reports are included on the site, with access to the full database available through subscription.

Grants Online
A subscription service providing 'the most up to date and comprehensive information service on funding opportunities within the UK'. Includes information on funding opportunities from the European Union, UK Government, National Lottery and grant making trusts and foundations.

Grantsnet
A search engine for grants available to UK organisations, including businesses. You can refine your search by location or activity and sign up for email alerts.

J4b Grants
The website contains news and resources on funding opportunities for your business as well as a comprehensive grants and funding database. In addition, J4b also offers an email alert service on new grants that match your profile. Free registration is required to access some information. Subscription based, although some content is available gratis to registered users.

UK Business Grants
Website from the UK Business Funding Centre, a private organisation offering 'information and advice on business funding from all levels of government'. The database of government funding programmes is updated daily. The site also provides information on grant recipients by industry sector.

UK Grants
Grant consultancy practice providing information on GBI and Grant for Research & Development (GRAND) grants and news.

European grant resources and information

EU Contracts and grants
Comprehensive EU website providing general guidance on funding and information on specific grants. Includes a listing of directorates-general which give grants, which drills down into a comprehensive listing of grants available with fuller detail. The site also maintains a thematic index to grants, an index by acronyms, and a programme overview sorted by directorate general.

Innovation (EU)
Information on innovation projects in Europe from the European Commission including on how SMEs can gain access to finance in the EU (venture capital, bank and debt finance, informal investors and stock markets) and advice on how to approach venture capitalists. The site also offers information on innovation projects in Europe including key policy documents, publications, events, news, grants and tenders, and useful links.

Seventh Research Framework Programme
Website run by CORDIS as the official entry point to Europe's Seventh Framework Programme for research and technology development (FP7). It covers specific programmes, activities, themes and latest developments, and includes a Practical guide to EU funding opportunities for research and innovation. Further information is available through the Community Research and Development Information Service (CORDIS) website.
