Industry body and public policy advocate for the private equity and venture capital industry in the UK. The site includes information on training courses and events, useful guides to the sector and a directory of members (there is a charge for non-member access).
European Business Angels Network (EBAN)
Non-profit association serving European business angel and seed fund networks. Resources include reports, glossary and directory searchable by location.
European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA)
Organisation that represents the European private equity and venture capital industry and promotes private equity investment to investors, policy makers, entrepreneurs and industry. Resources include statistics, surveys and a monthly publication.

British Business Angels Association (BBAA)
Trade association promoting business angel investing. The site includes a directory of members and associates of the BBAA and provides useful guides and publications. The BBAA is supported by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
Business Angels (Australia)
Introduction service for firms and private investors that provides a central register of angel investors and businesses.
Business Angels Netzwerk Deutschland (BAND)
Directory for Germany, supported by the German government (German language only).

International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation Guidelines
Guidelines developed by the Association Française des Investisseurs en Capital (AFIC), the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA). The latest version of the guidelines is available in PDF format.

Enterprise Capital Funds (ECF)
UK government scheme which encourages innovation and support in small businesses by providing funding to venture capitalists and business angels investing in SMEs. Since April 2008 the scheme has been managed by Capital for Enterprise Limited (CfEL).
