The good non retirement guide
Kay, Frances (23rd ed. Kogan Page, 2009)
This book "is packed with information, suggestions and advice on every aspect of retirement and beyond. It will enthuse you to do things you've never thought of, and help you to sort out the practicalities if you don't already have the knowledge or contacts. It is an invaluable resource book, and its purpose is to help you enjoy your retirement to the full". Chapters cover health, property, investment, leisure, work, pensions and tax.

Information on health issues, medical support and staying active for over 50s from the Directgov website.

Health and wellbeing (Age UK)
Section of the Age UK website designed to "help you understand how to keep yourself healthy, as well as what to do if you fall ill and how to use the health services available to you".

Older people and mental health (Mind)
This factsheet from mental health charity Mind "explores how older people can maintain good mental health and provides information on mental distress, with an emphasis on the issues that may affect older people".

CABA
The Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association, which supports ICAEW Chartered Accountants through difficult and challenging times, provides practical resources and advice to ICAEW members facing difficult decisions about health and care or need assistance with benefits. CABA also runs training courses on managing stress and improving your health and wellbeing. CABA provides assistance to ICAEW members and students as well as the families of current, former or deceased ICAEW members.
