UK Economic Forecast

ICAEW's quarterly economic forecast considers the outlook for the UK economy based on the views of ICAEW Chartered Accountants running all types of businesses across the UK, surveyed through the quarterly ICAEW/Grant Thornton UK Business Confidence Monitor (BCM).

Business Confidence Monitor

ICAEW conducts one of the largest and most comprehensive monitors of UK business confidence and is unique in being based 100% on the opinions of finance professionals. ICAEW's UK Business Confidence Monitor (BCM) is a quarterly review of business confidence across all regions, sectors and sizes throughout the UK.

A quarterly UK forecast from Ernst & Young ITEM Club, described as one of the UK's best-known independent economic forecasting groups.

Forecasts for the UK economy
A monthly comparison of independent forecasts summarised by HM Treasury. A guide to GDP deflators, weekly economic indicators and other statistics is also available.

Key figures 
Access the latest economic indicators from the Office for National Statistics. Figures are collated for prices and inflation, labour market, national accounts/economic activity, balance of payments and trade, and short term indicators like the indices of manufacturing, production and distribution.

London's Economy Today
A monthly publication from the Mayor of London's office providing the latest economic indicators for London and the UK.

Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR)
The OBR produces independent forecasts and assessments of public finances and the UK economy.

Quarterly Economic Survey (QES)
Quarterly reports on business confidence from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

RICS Economic Commentary
Market surveys and analyses from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) looking at the UK and European housing and property markets and international economic outlook.

The CityUK
The CityUK publishes a series of monthly global economic reports, produced in association with Oxford Economics.

UK Economic Outlook
A forecast report prepared three times a year by PwC.

Eurozone

European economic forecast
Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, European Commission
Forecasts are published by the DG ECFIN in spring and autumn with additional interim bulletins. The detailed reports cover economic developments at the aggregated level and prospects by individual country.

Eurostat
European Commission
The EC's statistics hub provides a wide variety of data including GDP growth rates, Euroindicators and figures on other economic trends and activity.

Ernst & Young
The latest edition of Ernst & Young's quarterly forecast. Information includes economic highlights, financial services forecast and a comparison of economic data across the eurozone.

Fee-based service from an organisation specialising in international economic surveys. Forecasts and views are obtained from over 600 economists monthly and cover estimates for the principal macroeconomic variables including growth, inflation, interest rates and exchange rates. Published reports cover more than 70 industrialized nations and emerging economies. Site contains recent data and provides free sample copies of publications to download (registration is required).

Economist Intelligence Unit
Economic analysis, forecasts and data for countries and regions provided on a subscription or pay-as-you-go basis.

ICC/Ifo World Economic Survey
Quarterly survey produced by International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Institute for Economic Research (Ifo), providing international economic forecasts and indicators.

National Institute Economic Review
Quarterly journal from the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR), which gives detailed economic forecasts for the UK and Global economies. Requires subscription. Abstracts and sample articles are available for some back numbers.

OECD Projections, Forecasts and Outlooks
Regular country-specific and industry-specific reports by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Oxford Economic Forecasting
Subscription-based forecasting publications for the UK and global economies.
