Expired passports: OK to prove indefinite leave to remain

Employers who need evidence to prove their employees are legally allowed to work can now accept information from an employee's expired passport. The UK Border Agency (UKBA) has stated that managers and employers can accept 'indefinite leave to remain' in an expired passport as evidence of the right to work.
