The committee plans and organises social events and presentations for members across Queensland. These events provide an excellent opportunity to network with fellow ICAEW members.

LinkedIn

There is a LinkedIn group for ICAEW members in Australia. The group features discussions on activities around Australia and event information. Queensland members have a separate subgroup, specifically to discuss issues relevant to Queensland.

Chair: Alastair Cranswick

Alastair is currently the NSW Regional Finance Manager for RPS Group Australia East.

Alastair joined PwC in West London in 2004, and performed assignments in Paris, Rome, Sydney, Cairns, Whyalla, and Townsvillle. After transferring to Brisbane with PwC in 2008, Alastair was promoted to Manager in 2009.

Committee member: Andy Tompkins

Andy is a director at Lattice Capital, a corporate advisory business based in Brisbane.

Andy qualified in 1997 in the UK with Beechams Chartered Accountants. Following completion of articles he moved to Deloitte in Johannesburg. After 9 years at Deloitte he joined a listed IT group in Johannesburg as Group executive. He moved to Brisbane in January 2010.
