- About us
-
The society was formed in 1976 by former ICAEW President Michael Groom to serve 1,800 members in Shropshire, Staffordshire, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Congleton in Cheshire.
The society’s members come from accountancy practices small and large and from a range of business, public sector and Third Sector interests. The district society is deeply engaged in the development of the local economy and regards the promotion of the profession – especially among students – as a crucial part of its work.
It also acts as a link between the ICAEW in Moorgate Place and members in the district.
