The Designated Professional Body (DPB) Handbook provides full details of the Institute's licensing arrangements.
This includes the agreement between the firm and the Institute for a licence, the regulated activities that can be conducted under a licence and how regulated work should be conducted. Licensed firms need to familiarise themselves with the whole handbook.
This version includes amendments made since 2004, including the mortgage and general insurance regulations. Amendments are notified to firms in our newsletter, 'DPB Update'.
A separate document explains the changes made since 2004 and sets out the dates they are effective from.
If you would like to order additional copies of the DPB Handbook at £20 per copy (including postage and packing), please download the order form.
