There are four essential elements of the ACA: exams, technical work experience (TWE), initial professional development (IPD) and structured training in ethics (STE). The ACA qualification cannot be gained without the successful completion of all these elements.

As an employer, you’ll also need to issue an ACA training agreement to each of your students and conduct six-monthly reviews to discuss their progress throughout their training.
