Preparing for the computer-based assessment

The following resources will help you prepare for the computer-based assessment.

Booking your computer-based assessment

Once registered, you will need your ICAEW student number and website login details to book your assessment. Computer-based assessments are held at approved test centres. Assessments sittings must be booked via the tuition provider regardless of study route chosen.

Cost

The computer-based assessment costs £300 + VAT per sitting.

Alternative exam arrangements

Alternative exam arrangements can be made for students whose exam performance may be affected by their personal circumstances. If the condition you are suffering from is considered a disability within the meaning of the Equality Act 2010, we will do everything we reasonably can to support you, subject to the provision of suitable evidence.

Applications for alternative exam arrangements must be made at least 90 days before you intend to sit the e-assessment. You will be provided with a letter to confirm the arrangements, and you should contact the assessment centre directly, no less than 48 hours before the assessment date, to inform them of the arrangements required in order to ensure these are made. Any extra time will be added directly to your exam.

Results

Your results will be available from ICAEW website the day after you take the assessment.

You can forward your result to a third party from the results page if you wish.

You will be sent a certificate to formally recognise your achievement when you successfully complete the assessment.
