Global investment banking fees, from M&A advisory to capital markets underwriting, were the highest last year since 2007, according to estimates from Thomson Reuters. Fees totalled $84bn, 9% up on 2009. Asia-Pacific investment banking fees led the regions with a 22.2% increase over 2009.
