David Petrie
Head of the Corporate Finance Faculty
David, former PwC M&A director and most recently financial director with an entrepreneurial alternative energy business, has been appointed head of the Corporate Finance Faculty.
An extremely experienced M&A practitioner, he has advised on £4bn of deals, from small management buyouts to large, complex outsourcing arrangements, the majority in the business services sector. He will lead the 5,000-strong network of professional services, specialist advisory, banking, private equity, broking and law firms.
He holds the Corporate Finance qualification and an MBA with distinction from the University of Bath.

Katerina Joannou
Manager, capital markets policy
Katerina joined in October 2006 as Manager, Capital Markets Policy to help develop thought leadership in corporate finance technical and regulatory issues, to engage with and understand the needs of practitioners and to prepare best practice guidance.
Katerina has most recently worked as a freelance business writer/consultant. Key projects have included work for Thomson Group (Consult Gee), Wolterskluwer and the ICAEW’s Audit and Assurance Faculty.
Katerina qualified as an ACA with Touche Ross & Co, London in 1994.

Shaun Beaney
Manager, Corporate Finance Faculty
Shaun is responsible for planning and developing the Corporate Finance Faculty services and professional development programmes. He also supports the Faculty's membership engagement, marketing and campaigns.
He has previously worked in research, business development and origination at BDO Corporate Finance and as deputy editor of international private equity magazine Real Deals.

Thomas Gannage-Stewart
Client Relationship Manager
Thomas's responsibilities are to look after the needs of the Corporate Finance Faculty's corporate members, continuing the Faculty's growth into key areas, and to promote the Faculty globally. He joined the ICAEW as senior business development manager within Learning &; Professional Development, where he developed relationships with investment banks as well as law and insurance firms, promoting the training of the ACA qualification outside of practice.
Thomas graduated with Hons in 2000 with a degree in Fine Arts and is still a practicing sculptor and photographer.

Lorraine Sinclair
Services Manager
Lorraine is responsible for membership information, enquiries, administering Faculty finances, supports the organising of events, and services to members and also drives and implements the marketing activities.
Lorraine previously worked in administration at investment bank Morgan Stanley, before joining the Faculty in 1999.
