Financial reporting factsheets

The Financial Reporting Faculty’s factsheets are designed to help faculty members identify how the ever increasing rules and regulations impact on their financial reporting.

Factsheets cover IFRS, UK GAAP and other financial reporting issues, reflecting the diverse financial reporting needs of the faculty’s membership. Factsheets may provide an introduction to changes coming into force in a particular period, or a more in depth analysis of a specific accounting issue. In every case the objective of the factsheet is to provide helpful tips on how to manage reporting requirements applicable to you.

Factsheets are designed to be easy to use. Features include:

  • An overview to help you identify whether you are affected by the reporting requirements
  • Links to the Standards Tracker to help identify the applicable version of the standard for your time frame, with links to eIFRS as appropriate
  • Explanations of reporting requirements in a language which is, wherever possible, free from jargon and easy to understand
  • Helpful tips on how to apply reporting requirements in practice
  • References to standards and regulations to signpost more detailed requirements, as necessary
  • Sources of further help and guidance
  • A focus on the key transactions and issues which affect most businesses.

We strongly recommend that you log into eIFRS via the Financial Reporting Faculty’s login page each time you log into the faculty's community website and before you click on a link in the factsheets or Standards Tracker. This will ensure seamless transition to the eIFRS service hosted on the IASB’s website.
