The Accounting Standards Board (ASB) has published revised proposals for Future of Financial Reporting Standards in the UK & Republic of Ireland. This new exposure draft replaces proposals previously released in 2010.

The ASB has published a discussion paper ‘The Financial Reporting of Pensions’ which seeks to establish principles for future standards. A common theme is that the principles that are applied elsewhere in accounting would improve financial reporting if they were applied to pensions.
