Accreditation information for software companies

If you have a software product that you are looking to get accredited, the Institute’s Accredited IT Product Scheme will enable you to position yourself in a competitive marketplace.

The scheme will offer you credibility for your software and increase awareness of your product among finance professionals.

Benefits of joining the scheme

Your involvement with the scheme provides you with a host of benefits, including: presence at the Softworld exhibition; copy on relevant Institute promotional literature; and visibility on the Institute’s website. You will be offered a full marketing support package, including access to the Institute’s list rental scheme.

Evaluation

The Institute has a policy of appointing a top accountancy firm as the scheme’s independent assessor. This is currently Baker Tilly. The assessor has the final say as to whether a product has passed the accreditation process.

The scheme's independence is very important as it means software companies cannot simply pay to join the Scheme but must meet the required criteria laid out in the questionnaire.
