Thought Leadership – Towards a Better Tax System
ICAEW Tax Faculty launches its Thought Leadership programme
The ICAEW Tax Faculty Thought Leadership programme was launched at the Wyman Symposium.
Paul Aplin, chairman of the Tax Faculty, noted that:
"The need to improve tax systems is as great as ever, and there is growing international debate about what works and what works best for taxpayers as a whole.
"The Towards a Better Tax System programme that the Tax Faculty is now undertaking will address the practical challenges faced when designing and implementing changes to tax system."
The work will be undertaken under three main heads dealing with Business, People and Delivery.
This year’s Wyman Symposium dealing with the relationship between taxpayers, tax advisers and the tax administration comes under the People head and continues the work undertaken by the Tax Faculty in collaboration with HMRC and other parts of Government to achieve real improvements to the tax system and a better experience for Tax Faculty members.
