A guide to the Financial Reporting Faculty

We have put a guide together to help you make the most of these resources – whether you’re new to the faculty, an existing member, or you just want to find out a bit more about what the faculty has to offer. We hope you find this guide useful; if you have any questions about our online resources, or the faculty please contact us at frfac@icaew.com.
How the faculty operates
The faculty is managed by the Head of Faculty, Dr Nigel Sleigh-Johnson, working with the Faculty Board, chaired by Andy Simmonds, partner at Deloitte and former chairman of the Institute’s Financial Reporting Committee (FRC).
The FRC is responsible for the development of Institute policy on financial reporting issues and ensures that the Institute authoritatively reflects the views of members. The committee sits under the Faculty Board, but retains technical independence.
A number of highly influential figures worldwide have joined the Faculty Advisory Group. The group considers the wider financial reporting agenda and provides general advice on trends and developments that might impact on the scope and direction of faculty activities.
