ICAEW to award businesses that embrace sustainable development
For the third year the ICAEW is proud to continue our sponsorship of the ICAEW Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Award. At the core of our work is a commitment to corporate responsibility, in our own operations, in our public interest role and in supporting our members in their work.
Post recession we believe it will be businesses that have embraced sustainability that will be the survivors, and the commitment to corporate responsibility will be an important part of a successful business strategy. Said ICAEW Chief Executive Michael Izza, “Corporate responsibility is about doing business better. The new economic reality must be a spur for us all – to encourage greater innovation and creativity in the way we deliver our corporate responsibility programmes. We need to ensure that budgets are used effectively whilst not compromising on principles given the pressures that are being placed on businesses generally.
We support the ICAEW Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Award at the National Business Awards we believe that the successful integration of corporate responsibility and sustainability strategy into business practices is evidence of a well run business. Corporate responsibility is a fundamental part of business and the award will recognise businesses and organisations that have put it right at the heart of what they do.”
The National Business Awards has become a leading programme in recognising excellence in business achievement, innovation and success in the UK. Corporate responsibility is a fundamental part of business and the ICAEW Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Award will recognise businesses and organisations that have put it right at the heart of what they do.
