Quick Link: How to order

ICAEW members have access to a service that can be used as part of your account opening and compliance procedures. Up to ten names per week can be checked free of charge.

The Client Screening database is provided by Complinet, a market-leading supplier of information to the international financial services industry.

The database checks names against industry, law and regulatory lists, such as the Office of Foreign Assets Control, Bank of England, EU and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, which identify restricted, sanctioned, prohibited and high-risk individuals and businesses. This includes known terrorists, money launderers, fraudsters, politically exposed persons (PEPs) and black-listed persons, entities and countries. Under international anti-money laundering (AML) regulation, foreign PEPs also need to be identified and assessed to ensure that no proceeds of foreign corruption enter the world economic system.

How do I order a Client Screening Report?

To order a Client Screening report simply , complete the online order form with the client name(s) that you would like to be checked. If you have any questions about the service contact the Library Enquiry Team on 020 7920 8620 or email us on library@icaew.com

Please note that a report will only be retrieved if an individual has specifically been referred to in the sanction. If you would also like to check against a related company name, include this on the form when ordering.

How much does a Client Screening Report cost?

Up to 10 names per week: free The Library & Information Service's access to Complinet is provided for this level of usage by individual members and their firms. If your usage is regularly more than this you should consider contacting Complinet or another supplier directly yourselves.

Each Client Screening Report checks one name against all restricted lists. We will provide you with two reports per name, one including spelling variations on the name provided and one including synonyms for the name. Complete the online order form to order a report.

If you are visiting the library, you can use the Client Screening Service on one of the Library PCs.
