The Institute has a Forensic Special Interest Group (formerly the Litigation Support Group), which aims to provide practical support and to promote Chartered Accountants within the sector. You can find out more about the group here.

Forensic Accounting

The Alliance for Excellence in Investigative and Forensic Accounting - a Canadian body established for Canadian Chartered Accountants with an interest in investigative and forensic accounting. The site includes information on the role of the body, membership requirements, and the full text of their 'Proposal for the Development of Standards in Investigative and Forensic Accounting'.
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (US) - professional association focused on reducing business fraud. The site includes details of membership/qualifications, a collection of fraud links and a press release archive. Members can access a library of documents and a directory of association members.
Forensic Accountant (KPMG) - available from the KPMG publications list. Older issue of the KPMG UK journal 'Forensic Accountant' from 1998 to date are available in pdf format via the search engine. Includes articles and commentary on forensic accounting, negligence and expert witness.
Forensic Accountants Society of North America (US) - described as a 'member-driven and self-governed network of certified public accounting firms' the FASNA has a small website explaining their aims, expertise and membership. You can also view pages from their journal Forum through the site.
Forensic Examiner - website for the official bimonthly journal of the American College of Forensic Examiners, with sample articles and information on subscriptions.
Forum (FASNA) - monthly newsletter issued by FASNA for member firms, but also available on the Forensic Accountants Society of North America website. The site includes the option to view pages from the most recent editions online.
Journal of Forensic Accounting - the Journal of Forensic Accounting: Auditing, Fraud, and Taxation (JFA) is 'dedicated to promoting excellence in forensic accounting'. The journal describes itself as 'an independent international forum for the publication of significant research dealing with investigative and forensic accounting'. The site includes the option to view contents lists and abstracts of all articles in the journal for the past three years.
