Training contracts
What is a training contract?
To qualify as a chartered accountant, students must complete a training contract with an organisation authorised by the ICAEW.
Training contracts

The ICAEW has produced a proforma training contract that you can adapt to reflect your own training policies.
-
Amending a training contract
An employer can amend a students ACA contract either by extending or reducing the length of a ACA contract.
-
Suspensions and cancellations
A training contract can be cancelled (eg resignation of student) or suspended for up to 24 months (eg long-term illness, maternity/paternity leave etc).
