Guidance for practitioners on SA filing

Faculty publishes TAXline Tax Practice No 20

In August the Tax Faculty published TAXline Tax Practice No 20, entitled Income tax self assessment: the new filing dates and online filing.

This TAXline supplement provides a comprehensive, practical guide to income tax self assessment (SA) filing for 2007/08, focusing on online filing. It covers the changes to income tax SA filing to be found in ss 88–92 and s 96, Finance Act 2007 and related HMRC practice and guidance. It also looks at the practicalities of online filing, including what software to use and what to expect and do in less straightforward cases.

Because of the importance of this topic for all practitioners, TAXline Tax Practice No 20 is available to download for all ICAEW members. Tax Faculty members will have received a hard copy with August TAXline.
