Corporate Finance qualification (CFq)
The Corporate Finance qualification is a two part programme (diploma and advanced diploma) designed to develop your analytical skills and technical knowledge of corporate finance, through education and work experience.
The CFq has been developed by the ICAEW in partnership with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA).

How is the qualification structured?
Introductory certificate (UK only)
Those who are studying in the UK must take the Certificate in Corporate Finance (delivered by the Securities and Investment Institute), before proceeding to the Diploma level.
Diploma
The Diploma stage focuses on providing a transactions-orientated knowledge (i.e. carry out transactions whether it’s buying/selling shares, buying/selling companies etc) to develop your analytical skills. On completion, participants will be able to understand a broad range of client needs, both nationally and internationally, to assist with corporate finance deals.
Advanced Diploma
The Advanced Diploma concentrates on giving ‘real life’ corporate finance experience. You will undertake deal management simulations, team exercises, role-playing, presentations and produce reports. This will give you the skills needed to do corporate finance at the most senior levels.
Completion of each stage is a pre-requisite for entering the next. Once you have successfully completed the stages and gained the required amount of work experience, you will be awarded the prestigious CF qualification and become entitled to use the designation.
