VAT quarterly returns for period ending 30 September

Have your clients had a reminder this month?

If your clients are registered to e-file their VAT returns, instead of receiving a paper VAT return for each quarter, they should instead receive an email reminding them when the next return is due.

We have received comments from some businesses reporting that they have not received their reminder email for the quarterly returns for the period ending 30 September. As the deadline for these is 31 October, time is running out.

Readers may care to make sure that businesses have this in hand. Meanwhile, the Tax Faculty will be following up with HMRC the reason for the apparent absence of these emails.
