London Society of Chartered Accountants Annual Dinner 2009
Thursday 19 February 2009 19:00 - 23:00
2009 LSCA annual dinner to be held at the Painted Hall, Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich.
Built for charitable public purpose, the Old Royal Naval College has been a place much enjoyed and admired since it was established by Royal Charter in 1694 for the relief and support of seamen and their dependents. The site was planned by Sir Christopher Wren. The Painted Hall, probably the finest dining hall in the Western world, is decorated with stunning paintings by James Thornhill, and is part of the King William Court.
The guest speaker for the evening will be John Simpson, BBC’s World Affairs Editor. In a career spanning more than 40 years John has earned a reputation as one of the World's most experienced and authoritative journalists. He has reported from more than 100 countries across the globe, from 30 war zones and interviewed Osama Bin Laden, Nelson Mandela, Margaret Thatcher and Ayatollah Khomeini.
The other speaker will be David Furst, ICAEW President.
