CFq exam applications
To apply for the Corporate Finance qualification Diploma or the Advanced Diploma exams, please download and complete the exam application form.
Please note: to process an application, we must check an individual's eligibility. You will need to provide details of your entry requirements. If you are a member of the ICAEW this will not be necessary.
Diploma stage
The exam is a four hour paper based around a case study that will encompass all five key competencies:
- Professional foundations of corporate finance
- Financial statement analysis
- Changes in control
- Valuation
- Raising debt and equity
Advanced Diploma stage
The exam is a four hour paper based around a high level case study that will focus on strategic decision making and deal structuring processes.
The case study will be pre-released in advance for the purpose of comprehensive analysis and financial modelling.
The examination will simulate a real-life corporate finance transaction and students will students will have to react to a previously unseen deal scenario based on new information.

Exam centres
We only use limited exam centres for the Corporate Finance exams
- Diploma - London, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur
- Advanced Diploma - London, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur
Alternative exam arrangements
Alternative exam arrangements can be applied for by students with disabilities (as defined by the Disabilities Discrimination Act 1995) or by students with specific needs. Applications for alterative exam arrangements must be made before the exam entry closing date.
