If you meet our application criteria, you can apply for ICAEW membership via Pathways to Membership. Download the Pathways to Membership application pack and send the registration form to us with your Examination of Experience.

 

Changes to Pathways to Membership applications

From the 1 January 2010, the eligibility and criteria rules for Pathways to Membership applications have changed. If you are applying this year, please use the new application form which contains details of the new rules.

Examination of Experience

The Examination of Experience is a series of questions that are equivalent in standard to the ACA Advanced Stage Case Study, which asks you to review your own work experience and demonstrate your professional competence, skills and expertise.

Complete the Examination of Experience and send this along with your completed registration form and fee (as stated on the application pack) for review at the next available marking panel.

Preparing your submission - Examination of Experience guidance

Workshops

Workshops are designed to provide you with valuable guidance regarding the Examination of Experience in preparation for your chosen submission date. The workshops last approximately two hours and are completely free to attend and cover important topics such as:

  • what is the Examination of Experience?
  • how should you approach the Examination of Experience?
  • how to approach questions
  • question and answer session
