This event looks at how you can achieve your full potential as a woman in business and finance. The speakers will identify strategies, tools and resources to help you develop your goals and overcome any obstacles.

Why you should attend

There are many barriers to overcome, starting with deciding what success means to you. Are you aiming for a trail-blazing FD role? Should you work for a small business rather than a larger organisation? What about charities and the voluntary sector?

Toni Eastwood OBE, training director of Everywoman Limited, Sarah Hunt, managing director of Equity FD and Vicky Annis, finance director of Merlin will discuss their experiences and share practical advice.

Toni Eastwood
Toni has over 22 years experience working in business development, designing and delivering training solutions, specialising in women’s development for the last ten years. She has lead the development of organisational and regional strategies for unlocking the potential of women, and is a regular contributor to national, regional and industry media on issues surrounding women and diversity. In 2007 Toni was recognised in the New Year’s honours list with an OBE for her contribution to Equal Opportunities.

Sarah Hunt
As Managing Director of her specialist recruitment business, Equity FD, she helps give others stuck in traditional careers some different options. Equity FD recruits finance directors into entrepreneurial growth businesses which are usually equity backed or AIM listed. In 2005, Equity FD expanded to include Equity FC for financial controllers, and both businesses place between 50 and 100 people in companies across the country each year.

Vicky Annis
Vicky joined Merlin in April 2008, building on over 20 years experience in various not-for-profit organisations including the NHS, local and central government and most recently six years as Director of Finance at Trinity College London. A Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Vicky is now leading our finance department, and is responsible for the overall financial position of Merlin including consolidating the financial activities of our offices around the world.
