Protecting our reputation and the cost of regulation

The Institute contributes to the costs of the UK and international professional collaborations including the CCAB, (the profession’s umbrella body in the UK), IFAC and Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens (FEE). We are also required to bear a share of the costs of the profession’s Joint Disciplinary Scheme (JDS) and the various activities of the Financial Reporting Council, including the Accountancy Investigation and Disciplinary Board (AIDB).

In 2006, provisions for funding the cost of investigations by the JDS and AIDB increased by £0.98m to £5.40m.
