ACA students exceed expectations again with impressive exam results

Friday 30 August 2019 – ICAEW students rounded off a long summer by achieving another set of impressive results in their July 2019 ACA Advanced Level exams.

Students excelled across the board, with Strategic Business Management coming out on top with a pass rate of 83.9%, followed by Corporate Reporting (79.6%) and Case Study (76.7%). The pass rate for those students who sat all three exams together was a solid 69.7%, as nearly 5,000 students sat more than 8,000 exams during the latest session.

The July 2019 Advanced Level exam session saw the final exam transition to computer, with the first sitting for the Case Study exam on computer for students. This means that all ACA Professional and Advanced Level exams are now computer-based.

Commenting on the July 2019 ACA Advanced Level exam results released today, Mark Protherough, ICAEW Executive Director, Learning & Professional Development, said:

“ICAEW students have once again proved why they’re the best in the business with another resounding set of results. Our exams are renowned across the industry for being some of the most challenging, so it’s great to see their hard work and preparation is paying off yet again.

“Our exams are designed to give students the tools necessary to become successful chartered accountants, and contribute widely to the creation of successful and sustainable businesses. Given the economic uncertainty facing the UK and Europe at the moment, these skills could not be more timely.

“A special congratulations also goes out to those recipients of our Order of Merit, and we wish all of our students the best of luck with further studies and their careers.”
