Nic qualified as a chartered accountant with Mazars before embarking on a career in public sector. She then spent nearly a decade working for the Falkland Islands Government Treasury in various roles spending the last four years as Honourable Financial Secretary where she had responsibility for finance, taxation and a number of corporate and policy functions. During this time Nic founded a mentoring programme for trainee accountants, was Vice Chair of the South Atlantic Islands Accountants’ Association and the ICAEW contact member for the South Atlantic Islands.
Nic is currently the Director of Corporate and Chief Financial Officer for the Oil and Gas Authority where she is responsible for finance, digital transformation and information management. She currently Chairs the IT Faculty Board and represents the IT Faculty on the CIPFA Governance and Financial Management Panel. Nic is also a CIPFA member and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.
