Although auditors have unique access to companies and their financial reports, confidentiality makes it difficult for them to share insights and observations that could benefit investors, non-execs, senior managers, politicians, policymakers and other stakeholders, including their fellow professionals. But since 2013, when the faculty launched its Audit Insights programme, it has successfully done this for a number of sectors and issues...
