Returners to Business Services Scotland Programme

Following the success of the Returners to Financial Services Scotland Programme, Women Returners has been awarded Scottish Government funding to run a new scheme; the Returners to Business Services Scotland Programme. This cross-company programme will enable organisations based in or near Edinburgh or Glasgow to pilot a returnship in a highly cost-effective manner. The new programme will facilitate opportunities for 30 experienced professional women who have been on an extended career break to get back into skilled employment.

Could your business benefit?

Women Returners is looking to partner with business services companies who recognise the benefits of diversity and are interested in bringing talented returning professionals into their organisations. Government funding from the Workplace Equality Fund will pay for the consulting, promotional and manager and participant support of the programme provided by Women Returners.

The programme will run for 16 weeks (between November 2018 and February 2019) and will provide successful participants with CV worthy experience, and the opportunity to refresh their skills and knowledge within a professional level role. The transition back into the workplace is fully supported with an internal mentor and a group Returner Coaching programme from Women Returners, as well as cohort peer support.
