Selling a niche care business is no simple operation. Christian Schosland explains the details of the £20m deal.

What was the deal?

We advised the shareholders of Oakleaf Care on its sale to AIM-listed CareTech Plc. Based in Northampton and founded in 2004, Oakleaf provides long-term support and rehabilitation to adult males with acquired brain injuries – challenging conditions that require highly specialised care.

At the time of the sale, the group operated more than 80 beds across nine properties in Northamptonshire. It has since opened a 22-bed care home.
