The financial implications of proposed EU pension regulations are causing concern among UK business leaders, new research suggests.

According to the latest Pensions Survey from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), 69% of firms fear that they could face higher deficit payments over shorter time periods as a result of Solvency II-style defined benefit (DB) scheme rules.
